Golden Mary Michelada

The brunch standby gets a sunny revamp by swapping the vodka for beer and calling for Natural Blonde Golden Bloody Mary Mix. An optional mezcal floater adds a smoky note that goes beautifully with the bacon garnish.

Ingredients

For drinks:

2 lime wedges

1 (3.5-ounce) Natural Blonde Salty Blonde Bloody Mary Rimmer

Ice

1 (12-ounce) bottle Mexican Pilsner-style beer

12 ounces Natural Blonde Golden Bloody Mary Mix

1 tablespoon mezcal, optional

For garnish:

2–4 slices Applegate Naturals Fully Cooked Sunday Bacon, warmed

Celery stalks

2 pepperoncini

2 cocktail onions

2 cherry tomatoes

Instructions

Run a lime wedge around the rims of 2 glasses, then dip the rims in the Natural Blonde Salty Blonde Bloody Mary Rimmer.

 

 Fill the glasses with ice then divide the beer and Natural Blonde Golden Bloody Mary Mix evenly between the 2 glasses. Stir well. Pour the mezcal over top, if using.

 

Garnish the drinks with the lime wedges, bacon, and celery stalks. Divide the pepperoncini, cocktail onions, and cherry tomatoes between 2 skewers and stick 1 in each drink. Serve at once.
