Buffalo Chicken Dip

Perfect for the big game or game night or just because you want to treat yourself, this dip hits all the right notes—spicy, creamy, cheesy, yum.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 (8-ounce) package Applegate Naturals® Roasted Shredded Chicken Breast
  • ½ cup Buffalo-style hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, cut into pieces and softened 
  • ½ cup shredded white Cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup crumbled blue cheese
  • Chopped fresh chives, for garnish
  • Tortilla chips and fresh vegetables, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Melt the butter in a skillet over moderately high heat. Add the chicken and hot sauce and simmer, stirring occasionally, until hot and slightly thickened, about 2 minutes. Remove from the heat, and stir in the lemon juice, sour cream and cream cheese until well combined. Transfer the mixture to a shallow ovenproof serving dish and sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top.
  2. Bake until dip is bubbling and the cheese has melted, about 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the blue cheese and chives. Serve at once, with tortilla chips and fresh vegetables for dipping.
